SiteContract Application: Multiple Cisco 6509 switches in a single 30” wide rack, dense cabling, overhead power and data trays and heat exhaust to ceiling plenum return. Solution: Bottom Front to Top Rear Cross-Airflow Provides a Blanket of Cool Air to Switch Intakes.
Heated exhaust air from network equipment is directed to the rear top of the rack and exhausted out through the exhaust duct. Cool air enters the rack front below the network equipment and provides a blanket of cool air along the side of the network switch.
Application: Cool three medium to low density racks in a medical facility’s small closet. Solution: Eliminate need to purchase AC unit in a small space - use building air to cool network switch and server equipment.
Building supply with dedicated exhaust duct return to corridor. Heated exhaust air from IT racks are directed to a dedicated exhaust duct and air is directed to the corridor for building air return. Air enters small space through a vent located low in the wall or door.
